If you’re not quite ready for an overnight program but still want an amazing experience alongside other children ages 5–15 with type 1 diabetes, Barton’s summer day camps are a perfect fit.

Each summer, Barton’s specially trained counseling staff—many of whom also have type 1 diabetes—travel across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York to bring camp to you. Every day is packed with classic day-camp fun, including swimming, indoor and outdoor sports, arts and crafts, and music. It’s a great introduction to camp life for children with diabetes, and you’ll be surprised how incredible it feels to spend a week where everyone just gets it. You’ll even get to play special diabetes-themed games.

Parents can feel confident, too. Our staff create a safe, supportive environment and assist campers with blood glucose monitoring and insulin doses three times a day.
