Family Camp Weekend at The Barton Center is a special opportunity for the whole family to experience the magic of camp together in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment designed for those impacted by type 1 diabetes. Set against the backdrop of late fall, families can enjoy classic camp traditions like campfires, arts & crafts, nature walks, team games, and cozy indoor activities, all while connecting with others who truly understand the T1D journey. The weekend also includes engaging diabetes education sessions for both parents and children, offering practical tools, shared learning, and the chance to ask questions in a supportive setting. Barton’s experienced staff and medical team are on-site throughout the weekend, providing guidance, support, and peace of mind, so families can relax and focus on spending quality time together. Whether it’s your first visit or a return to a place that feels like home, Family Camp Weekend offers connection, comfort, and community for the whole family.
